Calling all vegans, the lactose intolerant, Instagram foodies and those just curious about all things vegan and dairy-free, vegan Ben & Jerry’s is now available in the UK!
No longer will you miss out on the fun. No longer will you miss out on the milkshakes, the ice cream sandwiches and the freakshakes, if you’re brave enough to try those beautiful concoctions.
The ice cream giants have listened to your pleas and outdone themselves with their three new flavor creations.
Ben & Jerry’s Flavour Guru Andrea Ball said: “You dared us to go dairyless—and we did! Our Non-Dairy flavor creations are made with almond milk, 100% certified vegan, and boldly loaded with chunks and swirls. You’ll get Ben & Jerry’s euphoria in every bite. These flavors deliver everything… but the cow.“
All made with almond milk, the new flavors and classics have been made vegan, and promise to be delicious. The three to come out in the United Kingdom are Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chunky Monkey, as well as the Peanut Butter and Cookies flavor.
These flavors are identifiable by their “I’m Vegan” ring on the lid. The Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavor sources its gooey treats from Ben & Jerry’s long term partner, Greyston’s Bakery. A New York-based bakery who have partnered with the ice cream makers since 1989, the company promises:
“Greyston Vegan Fudge Brownies are an injection of pure, sweet, chocolate indulgence.”
Vegan Chunky Monkey is a remix of the original, containing banana, walnuts and vegan fudge chunks- made from almond milk, coconut oil, cane syrup, cocoa and various other tasty ingredients.
Vegan Peanut Butter and Cookies flavor promises a crunchy peanut butter swirl, mixed in with chocolate sandwich cookies (a.k.a. Oreos, which are vegan).
Which one is your favorite? Vegans and the lactose intolerant can finally join us is the shame you feel when you ‘accidentally’ finish a whole tub in one sitting. They are now truly able to fully enjoy Netflix and chill, cuddling up with that special someone and feel they can truly enjoy themselves.
Those just curious can be assured that the new products are just as tasty as the dairy range. The more versatile among you can start using extra tasty ice cream in homemade recipes.
Andrea Ball adds that “Creating non-dairy ice cream that meets the funky and chunky expectations of Ben & Jerry’s fans was quite a challenge. But we’re delighted to confirm the long wait is nearly over! Spoons at the ready to dig in.”
It’s amazing that the vegan range is only now coming to the world; the time it has taken to get to this milestone is truly astounding. Andrea added:
“It’s baffling how it’s only just happening now but the company say that they’ve actually been working on the vegan range for some time and ‘want to make sure these flavours live up to what Ben & Jerry’s is known for; enormous chunks, delicious swirls and a commitment to values-led ingredient sourcing.”
Each tub will cost £5.99 (around $7.88), with a wider range probably to follow quicker than you can say Chunky Monkey.
