Lady Gaga Delivers Pizza To California Wildfire Evacuees For ‘World Kindness Day’

There's absolutely no denying that the world would be a better place if we were all a little bit kinder to one another. Because no matter how privileged or otherwise we might be, we all face our own struggles, issues, and demons.

Celebrities, being in the high-profile position they're in, are able to use their influence to do good for a large number of people. That's why many stars tend toward philanthropy. From starting their own foundations to funding college scholarships for teens from underprivileged backgrounds, Hollywood, vacuous though it often is, is never short of celebs doing good deeds.

Take a look at the incredibly generous deed Lady Gaga did on World Kindness Day:

One of these charitable stars is Lady Gaga. Yes, Lady Gaga is known for promoting causes which are close to her heart. For instance, she has always been a loyal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, truly earning her the title of "gay icon".

And the three-time Grammy award winner's latest act of kindness? Well, she recently brought immense joy and happiness to the Red Cross shelter at Pacific Palisades High School in Los Angeles when she stopped by with coffee and... pizza!

The 'Bad Romance' singer posted an Instagram story which showed her getting ready for World Kindness Day. She also encouraged her fans to do something kind for someone - even if that someone was themselves.

"Today is my favorite day of the year - it's World Kindness Day," the A Star Is Born actress said to the camera. "I encourage you all to do one act of kindness even if it's for yourself."

And that certainly wasn't the extent of her message. Lady Gaga shared her very own act of kindness to her followers, as she surprises those who were forced to flee their homes due to wildfires raging through California.

The singer-turned-actress then went on to say:

"I'm on my way now to a shelter in California to be with the people who have evacuated their homes. It's one of my acts of kindness for today and I encourage you to do the same. Be kind."

Given the substantial amount of damage caused by the wildfire, what Lady Gaga did for just a few of the victims is incredibly generous. The wildfires hit both the north and the south of the state; the northern blaze is the campfire and the southern fire is referred to as the Woolsey Fire. It is officially the most destructive fire in Californian history after taking the lives of 42 people and destroying more than 7,100 homes and businesses, especially in the town of Paradise.

"We are doing everything we possibly can to identify those remains and make contact with the next of kin so we can return the remains to the family," Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said on Saturday.

According to the Daily Mail, Lady Gaga had no choice but to evacuate her Malibu home last Friday when the fires spread along the California coast. So when she visited the evacuation center, she was able to put herself in the shoes of the victims.

While at the center, she told the evacuees, "I extend my love… I know we do not know each other, but I love you. This is an emergency, but you are not alone." She also spent about 90 minutes in the shelter, taking photos and singing with the crowd.

We would like to express our sincerest condolences to those affected by the devastating wildfire.
