The Kardashians adore the 97-year-old Los Angeles bakery Hansen's Cakes, which they order from nearly every time there's a birthday, wedding, baby shower or big business deal to celebrate (probably even hitting Instagram milestones). The latest event deeming a cake? The arrival of Kim's baby, of course.
That's right, on January 15, 2018, at 12:47 am, Kim Kardashian announced that she and Kanye West have welcomed their newest addition to the family, a baby girl, weighing in at 7lbs 6oz. The baby's name is unknown to this date.
Regardless, they turned to Hansen's bakery once again. Kim Kardashian revealed via Snapchat that mom Kris Jenner got her a pink Hansen's cake decorated with roses to celebrate the birth of her third child, via a surrogate mother.
Kris felt like the only way to congratulate her daughter and son-in-law on the birth of the baby girl was to send over a family favorite. This time, custom-made to celebrate such a joyous occasion. I couldn't be more envious.
The cake is almost identical to the cake her niece, Dream Kardashian, got for her first birthday, minus a topper with a name. Because of course, the baby is yet to be named as Kim hasn't shared that information with the world.
Though the cake looks amazingly elaborate, Hansen's keeps its options simple. Customers can choose between white, chocolate, lemon, marble, carrot and red velvet flavor, and for icing, the options are white buttercream, chocolate buttercream and whipped cream. What flavor this cake is, however, hasn't been disclosed to anyone just yet.
Speculation on what the child's name will be is all over the place. Given the unpredictable names she gave her previous two, it's very hard to tell what will follow. Not too long ago fans went wild when Kim supposedly dropped a massive hint to what the name could possibly be.
The 37-year-old seemed to drop a hint on Wednesday as she shared a snap of the iconic Louis Vuitton print on Instagram without any explanation or caption. The comments on the post said things like: "is this a hint?" "Louis Vuitton??" and "Did she name her daughter this???"
Hansen's, which has three locations in the Los Angeles area, has made dozens of cakes for the famous family's parties and birthday celebrations. The shop made Kim's baby shower cake when she was pregnant with Saint.
That cake featured a Troop Beverly Hills themed cake. They also made North and Penelope's mermaid cakes for their joint birthday party in summer 2016. During the Keeping Up With The Kardashians 10-year reunion special, E! also surprised the ladies with an enormous white cake from Hansen's.
With the arrival of Kylie and rapper Travis Scott's child in March and Khloe and basketball player, Tristan Thompson expecting too (both genders unknown), there could be a lot of orders coming into Hansen's bakery. I look forward to what deliciously elegant ideas they could come up with next.
