Giving birth to a child I imagine is a beautiful (albeit painful) process that a mother cherishes to the end of her days. Once the whole pushing thing is done and the cuddling and adorable pictures are out of the way, what do you do? Get back all the energy you just lost, right? But what do you eat?
After giving birth to her daughter True Thompson, Khloé Kardashian was Lovin’ It. In a recent post on her app, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star revealed the first food she ate post-labor was a McDonald’s hash brown. Not the first thing I would crave from McDonald’s (chicken nuggets and a Big Mac, maybe even putting some nuggets inside it), but each to their own, I guess.
“I love how I said the first thing I was going to have after labor was a smoothie and what I actually ate was a McDonald’s hash brown,” the reality star wrote. “LOL! What can I say, True and I worked up an appetite!”
The youngest of the Original Trilogy Kardashians, 33, was vocal about her cravings throughout her pregnancy, which included spaghetti with a side of strawberries and whipped cream, pancakes, an ice cream sandwich, and an Uber Eats delivery from Popeye’s. During the last trimester of her pregnancy, she announced she was “eating like a beast” and giving into her cravings.
Now the dark times have gone (letting beast Khloé take over her body) the Revenge Body host could be swearing off fast food altogether. She is uber excited to get back into shape after seeing “how big her booty looked” in post-pregnancy paparazzi photos.
“I’m actually proud of myself for not being as big as I assumed I would be, LOL—but I’m ready to start getting my body back and feeling mentally clear again. “Bring on summer and the hard work—I got this!”
Getting back to shape should be no problem for this gym bunny. She is known for her intense workouts that implement cardio weights and specific area training (and not forgetting to rest). Her diet will assumedly be just as regimented.
Her nutritionist, Dr Philip Goglia, developed a plan specific for Khloé’s body type that is a careful balance of protein, carbs, and fats. Her staples include lean proteins, veggies, fruits, and a lot of water.
Breakfast is usually a protein shake, made with protein powder, fruit, almond butter, and water. Other main meals include veggies, or salad with a choice of protein (think chicken or a fatty fish like salmon or sea bass). The other meals, which are more like snacks eaten throughout the day, are usually fruit or vegetables with some almonds or an egg.
Based on Khloé’s body type, she pretty much bans herself from having include dairy, diet foods, soy, juice, dried fruit, breads, and sodas. Khloé has one cheat meal a week, which is cake, pizza, or pasta, depending on her cravings. Will she keep this up post-baby? I can’t wait to find out.
