So on Monday night the Met Gala rolled into town and brought with it plenty of questionable fashion choices. New York was awash with A-listers clad in religious-themed outfits as the Hollywood Elite embraced the gala's theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
All of the usual suspects turned out, with the Kardashians being prominent among the vast array of celebs. Kim, Kylie and Kendall all attended the event, with Kylie arriving on the arm of her baby daddy, Travis Scott.
Kim, however, appeared on her own. While some may have thought that she would've been joined by her husband Kanye West, the rapper stayed at home, where Kim said that he was working on his "five albums".
Then there was Kendall, who turned up at the event with the fashion designer Virgil Abloh of the clothing brand Off-White. Wearing an Off-White jumpsuit, Kendall was the picture of glam and was a stark contrast to her 2017 appearance at the same event - where she wore a see-through dress with nothing but a thong on.
The theme of the gala attracted a lot of attention, with plenty of people accusing the Met Gala of cultural appropriation due to their use of religious imagery throughout the event. Explaining the bizarre collaboration between fashion and religion, curator Andrew Bolton said in a statement on The Met's website:
"Fashion and religion have long been intertwined, mutually inspiring and informing one another. Although this relationship has been complex and sometimes contested, it has produced some of the most inventive and innovative creations in the history of fashion."
While Kendall's outfit wasn't obviously religious, it did highlight the model's slim frame. The model is known for her love of food, with her having her own radio show called "Pizza Boys" and her sister Khloe has previously described her as "[her] go-to girl" on cheat day: "People always find it funny that Kenny is on the anti-model diet," Khloé wrote on her app. "She loves burgers and pizza and goes to In-N-Out all the time. Kendall is my go-to girl on cheat day!"
However, In-N-Out burger won't give Kendall the frame that she has and, writing on her app, the model said that drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of food is key to her remaining fit and healthy.
"I have low blood sugar, so I definitely need things to keep me going (aka lots of food!)," Jenner writes on her app. "Here's what will forever and always make my list: Twix, Justin's Peanut Butter, chips and guac, and hummus and carrots. See, pretty simple—just feed me and I'm ready to go!”
While she may be a lover of snacks and treats, Kendall tries to keep it healthy most of the time: "I typically eat lean chicken and brown rice, and am always snacking on raw veggies with dip and hummus. I wish I had more time to do grocery shopping because I like picking out my own vegetables."
However, there will always be the occasional slip-up and, taking to her Instagram account the day after the Met Gala, Kendall looked like she was indulging in the best hangover breakfast around.
In the snap, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star can be seen wearing an epic red gown with sunglasses, sitting on a terrace. Kendall has got a fork hanging out of her mouth and seems to be in the midst of munching on a large stack of pancakes.
So, while she may seem super-human at times, it turns out Kendall Jenner is just like the rest of us: she just loves pancakes.
