A Pizza Hut Restaurant ‘Run By Cats’ Is Open For Business In Japan

In 2014, Pizza Hut Japan released a video series looking at the inner workings of a restaurant ran entirely by four cats: Tencho, Hime, Dora, and Detch. The 12-part video series was a success, and saw the team mastering skills such as employee management, till skills, cleaning floors and taking orders.

Now, Pizza Cat is back. A new cat, Shinjin, is the latest employee at Pizza Cats. I’ve even heard rumours that he worked in the kitchen with famed animal chef, Remy from Ratatouille. Obviously, we couldn’t speak to Shinjin himself, as he’s a cat and I can’t get much content from “meow”.

Not only has Pizza Cats returned to Pizza Hut, they’re also giving customers 22 per cent off their order. The coupon is available on Pizza Hut Japan’s mobile app. Cheap pizza and cats with hats on … heaven truly does exist. Check out the video below to see Shinguin in action.

I am praying, begging, and pleading to you, Pizza Hut: bring Pizza Cats to the UK. God knows we need some cheering up in this political wasteland we call life. We need some cheer, some happiness, some goddamn cats trying to process coupons. For our sake, please make Pizza Cats a worldwide phenomenon.
