5 Dieting secrets your favorite celebrities swear by to stay in shape

We're all obsessed with celebrities, whether you claim you are or you're not. I bet that if you have Instagram, you follow your favourite celebs and like a lot of their pics without noticing. Whether it's Rihanna, Kim Kardashian or Kanye West, we're obsessed with the idea of the celebrity and aspire to have the lifestyle of the rich and famous.

One thing that has become an increasing trend over the past year or so, is taking a deep dive into what A-listers eat. Whether it's Kourtney Kardashian's gluten-free diet or Meghan Markle's seven tips to get a royal body, we now have more access to our celebrities than ever before. In light of this stalker-esque infatuation, what are the dieting secrets of five of our favourite celebrities?

1. Chrissy Teigen

What's the secret to Chrissy's svelte figure? Starting the day off with a nutritious breakfast. The model and cookbook author makes sure that she has a "farmer's breakfast"every day. She told Delish:

"I get really mad when I hear there's a continental breakfast somewhere. I'm not a big breakfast pastry, chocolate croissant girl. I have to have eggs every day. I like a farmer's breakfast: two over-easy eggs, turkey bacon or pork sausage, sliced avocado, and grilled tomatoes. I can't do pancakes or else I just want to go to bed. Eggs are my must—with a ton of Cholula on top."

2. Heidi Klum

Despite having a figure that most people are envious of, Heidi Klum encourages people to give in to the cravings. Grace Derocha, a registered dietitian and wellness coach at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan told INSIDER: "Allowing yourself to indulge in a craving (responsibly) can benefit your diet by preventing larger-scale bingeing later."

3. Kim Kardashian

After having Saint back in December 2015, Kim went onto the Atkins diet in order to lose the baby weight. The diet is restrictive, with Kim being limited to "40 grams of net carbs, four to six-ounce servings of protein, and two-to-four servings of fat per day."

Speaking to Elle, Colette Heimowitz, Kim's nutritionist, said: "The beauty about Atkins is that it meets all the nutritional requirements you need post-pregnancy and for pregnancy, because you're eating adequate protein, you're eating healthy fats, and high-fiber carbohydrates, and some fruits and nuts, and a wide variety of protein. You don't have to do low-calorie."

4. Christina Aguilera

Christina's style of dieting is a little more obscure than the others, with her being focused on eating one particular color food each day. For example, she might only eat green foods on Monday, red on Tuesday and orange on Wednesday.

5. Beyoncé

Queen B needs some serious fuel in order to slay a two-hour long Coachella performance and she gets it in the form of a vegan, plant-based diet.

Such is Bey's advocacy of the diet, she even launched her own meal delivery service called 22 Days Nutrition. The service's website launched in 2015 and the front page credits her incredible Coachella performance to her 22 Days Nutrition Meal Planner.

So there you have it - five celebs who have certain diet hacks in order to retain their stunning physiques. Although, as with most things, what works for them might not work for you, so listen to your body and seek out a specialist if you're thinking about dramatically changing your diet.
